CubeSats are small enough to fit into the spare space around rocket payloads meaning they are a more affordable alternative to conventional satellites.

  1. The video here is about hand-sized satellites transforming weather forecasting. What else could a network of small satellites improve?
  2. A hand-sized satellite whizzing through space is an enormous object that can do significant damage if it hits a big satellite or spacecraft. Isn’t the proliferation of these small satellites dangerous?
