Discussion:  Surgeons at Manchester Royal Infirmary claim to be the first to use a full 3D projection during an operation.  The team wore special glasses in order to view the procedure in 3D, while surgeons also used a hand-held robotic arm.  The prostate removal surgery was a  success, and scientists are excited about the cost saving, mobility and visibility potential that the surgery suggests might be possible.
